whigfield - saturday night! (1994)
"Sannie Carlson (best known as Whigfield) is the name of a lady with Danish origins who decided to make a mark in the history of pop-dance music by selling millions worldwide. In 1994 she gained a place in the Guinness Book of Records with the song "Saturday Night" as the first artist to go straight to number one in the UK singles chart with a debut single."
love this description -- ascribes incredible foresight to whigfield! she just decided to make a mark in the history of pop-dance music -- and she went out and did it!

album art: alicia bridges at a party; i googled a few of the artists and she was the only one i could find in a party setting. hardly a justification, as i am a mega-fan of her single. have you seen her performing it?
luv u alicia bridges
